Boston has quite a few local clients - you will likely be part of that space or focus on biotech- smaller pharma cos
Lots of clients in NJ and a few in NYC too. Travel for kickoffs, big meetings.
Depends on your home office, space and client - if you get into a local client space - travel is minimal
Depends by level (PAMs travel a lot more) but at the associate level, unless you are staffed on site, travel is minimal. It took me a few years before I made any status on any airline.
Following, also interested!
I was traveling cross country weekly as an associate. All depends on the project and if it's something you want to do
It all depends on what office you're joining and what space you're joining. We have dedicated staffers who staff you on projects.
Find PAMs you like and trust. Network on their projects and bypass the staffers. If you do a good job they'll continue to place you on their projects
If you want to travel, chances are good that you can, but it does depend on office. I've been on projects where I traveled for one or two nights a month, and other projects where I was on the road for 3-4 nights / week.
In general we travel a lot less than other firms (which most people appreciate), but the opportunities are out there!
