No, not at all. It has probably been a decade since loyalty was rewarded. These days, if you want to keep your salary inline with your market value, you have to job hunt. There is no bigger raise than a new hire salary.

This is what I’m starting to see, too! I’ve been job hunting for this exact reason, but there’s not much out there unfortunately
I have never found loyalty to pay off in this industry. And besides, why be loyal to a company that is not loyal to us? It seems like you have to jump ship if you want to make more money in healthcare.

Absolutely! I keep holding out hope that my loyalty will pay off, but it really gets old after a while.
