My coworker brought a puppy to work, who bit my hand. I ended up losing my temper and yelling at them. Now everyone is mad at me for blowing up at work, even though this is something I shouldn't have had to deal with in the first place!

Is there a corporate way to bring up to senior leaders that an IC is causing issues across multiple teams because they are demanding and also doesn’t collaborate well? The IC gives vague “direction” then says they are too busy to clarify. They also refuse to use our project management/ collaboration tools.

If I had a dime for every time I said something, only to receive blank stares, then had a male coworker “magically” repeat it soon after and have everyone be onboard. Like, am I a 👻?? 🤷🏽‍♀️

How to deal with people flirting with you at work.
I’m married, and one of my coworkers flirts with me. Nothing super overt, but definitely not professional. We’re good friends and work together constantly because we’re on the same client, so I don’t want to make it awkward. Do I just do nothing and let it go? It is mostly just odd I’m not super offended, but I’m also clearly uninterested!

Hey all - 2 years in consulting so far as a fairly "type b" personality - relaxed, uncompetitive, enjoy socializing with my colleagues. To be clear, this is not the same as being lazy or irresponsible - I am diligent and do my work well.

Nonetheless I think we can generally say finance/professional services etc. reward "type a" habitudes on its face.

As a founder of an e-commerce startup, who would your first hire be? Tech? Finance? Marketing? Customer Service? Social Media? Product Management? Other?

I have to pick a direction to move ahead in, Brand & Marketing Design(with website) vs Product design (Games UXUI , Physical and digital)

I have a solid background in both, so keeping preference aside - which direction do you think makes more sense to gain more experience in? And will make more sense for the future.

For B4 - For teams with temp (contractor) seniors - I’ve noted that they are held to the same work quality standards of normal full time seniors, while not getting any of the senior trainings or perks that would go with that perm role (just some basic survivals trainings at best), nor the access to the perm positions once they prove they can do the job. Then heard they are viewed as little higher than outsource teams (i.e., the offshore teams only given non-judgmental work). What’s your opinion?

Wavering between tired and happy. Finally getting my stamina back post covid. I've walked 10 miles in the past week. Pre covid I was walking between 2 and 4 miles a day. But I can tell I'm still not 100 percent. I'm so tired in the evenings. Hopefully that will fade the next couple of weeks.

I spoke to a EY Recruiter today. She asked for my range for a manager role on the Federal side. I said 150-175 base. The role is in DC. She informed me that is more in the SM range and she would reach out if there was a SM opportunity she had available. I’ve been in industry for more than 10 years. I didn’t think 150-175 base was too high for a manager role with Big 4 in DC. I make close to these figures now. Am I going to take a pay cut coming from industry to consulting?
