I have experience in Management both restaurant, healthcare, and I suppose this particular position counts too I just don’t know how to specify it. I really want to get out of the 35-40k salary range and I have the experience to do it just not the degree. I think I suck at interviews too (I get really nervous and start doubting myself). I can't help but notice that the most touted exit opps mentioned here are all 'G&A' positions - S&O, CorpDev, Strat, etc. Aren't these positions the first in line to go come layoff time? Prod Management seems like it would be more insulated from layoff pressure (so long as your P&L is in the black) though even that could come under budgetary pressure.

What would be an example of 'layoff-proof' exit opp?

And then sometimes you don't even know how to cite something, and how are you supposed to know that unless you ask someone who knows? And even then, they might not be sure whether it should be an in-text citation or a footnote…
