Thats a good one. Can’t imagine it’s for real.

It is. I swear go look it up.

Probably not appropriate to post restaurant visits in general for linkedin, but the only bar close to my previous office was a hooters. Wouldn’t say it was sleezy. Just a typical sports bar with mediocre food.

What’s the issue? Was it that he didn’t tell them he was gonna post it? Otherwise I’m not sure see the problem. What am I missing?

likefunny

Except again, LinkedIn being used for business is a joke nowadays. Nothing surprises me.

Weird post for LI for sure but it’s changed a lot now so he’ll most likely just get some side eye, raised brows, and away with it

Only makes sense if you’re in the food/retail business. As an HR person and an old white guy this is creepy.

Weird to post on Linkedin but no less cringey than a political post IMO…

They are both inappropriate as hell. For sure.

Some basketball players have started a trend of posting photos of them at Hooters since the restaurants are closing down. This probably relates to that. Probably tying in that everyone is losing their jobs even though they provide great service, so there is some HR connection.

For all we know, they’ve just signed a new deal with hooters and he wanted to show his support for his company’s partners. I also see no issue with this post. Cringe, yes, but no HR issues or the like.

It’s almost like I can tell who the men are in the comments

Hi my name is Jeff

You, Mr. Passed Middle Age About 100 Miles Back HR Man, are the exact reason I hate LinkedIn now. Next time post your pics from a strip club, THEN we might be impressed. lol

Hi! I have recently started working with a SaaS based company as a program coordinator co-op. I graduated last month and I am actively looking to get a full-time job soon. My current co-op ends in mid december and at my current company there isn’t any operations/program/project mngmt teams as of now. While my manager often indirectly hints of future opportunities in the company, he also keeps asking me to come up with interests in other departments of the company. I am not sure what this means?!

Does anyone think it’s a good idea to beg for a job and put your personal life out there to get sympathy, because that is what I am seeing every day on LinkedIn and then the recruiters and everybody will comment and send the jobs and they will end up with a job or interview the next day.
I’m getting close to the point of doing that because it seems like it is working.

This one is going to make some of y’all mad, but it’s so annoyingly unnecessary. The most irritating part is “is it a shirt day or a skirt day”…. Like women don’t wear shirts with skirts and men don’t wear shirts with pants. Shirts and skirts are not mutually exclusive. I’ll just leave this here.

Does anyone else feel that the more content someone puts in their LinkedIn headline, the more full of it they are? I say this as someone with a bunch of stuff lol but at least it’s all at one company and accurate.

I’m talking mostly about two kinds of people. 1. The influencer who is actually unemployed, but lists 25 BS things they do
2. The brand collector, who writes “ex-“ for every former company they worked at and school they went to. Maybe less full of it but still insufferable.

There really is such a direct correlation between cringey title and cringey posts.

Before LinkedIn...to me, the king of professional cringey was Shingy. Do you guys remember him? He was aol's overpaid "digital prophet" and got paid to visit companies at lunchtime and babble the same kind of nonsense we now call "LinkedIn cringe".

I woke up today tired.

My work cell was buzzing and then I remembered something.

I forgot to thank the bus driver that dropped me off a few days ago.

I got up and rushed downstairs to find the bus driver.

It was raining outside but I was already running barefoot to the bus stop.

I stood there soaked in my pajamas as the bus approached.

Then, the door opened. The driver got up and shook my hand.

I sat down and started my shift.

I’m the bus driver. Reminder to love and thank yourself.
