The conpany I work for is great and I have been given many opportunities. I was starting to feel stagnant in my previous role so I made a lateral move to learn another part of the business I wasn’t familiar with. I miss my old role but there is no growth opportunities currently. I feel my current role will wind up being the same thing so I have started applying for positions I desire and know i have the capabilities to manage and master. How do I sell myself and get my dream role?

I’m about to give my notice at a firm I’ve been at for the majority of my legal career. They’ve recently offered me non-equity partnership (which I’ve accepted), w equity partnership on the horizon. However, I’ve been annoyed with their way of running the business and getting between me and my earnings far too long; and I received a lucrative offer to go in-house. We’ve been trying to fill a cyber security architect position, but we are apparently missing the mark on our salary. We also want candidates that have AWS certifications. 100% remote. We are a consulting company. Is 180k that off base?

Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. She was fake friendly, but she was discrete too. Some of the executives thought she was amazing, but I had to clean up her work all the time. She wasn’t above me either on the chain of command. Later I found out she had tried for the exec assistant role and they didn’t choose her, they wanted me instead.

Saw a job on LinkedIn applied for it and the CEO of the startup reached out to me saying he was game to move to the next stage of the process. Spoke to hiring manager and they even offered another position which matched my skills. Scheduled a full panel interview. Met with the team had a great chat, Founder even said "I guess you can start right away"..Hiring manager calls later says they'll update then boom that generic email hits my inbox. At this point you're just like arrrrrrgh😩
