I got diagnosed in my late 20s, but the signs were there all along. Getting medication completely changed my work life. But those problems still linger...you have to recognize when you're avoiding tasks and focus on fixing them.
I was diagnosed recently and in my 30s. I do think an entirely different career would help. But until then, medication changed my life in such a good way. I’ve been on vyvanse for over a year now and it’s helped both my professional and personal life.

If I'm being honest, that alone doesn't sound like ADHD. It sounds like burnout. If there's more to it than that, it's worth talking to a specialist.
If they tell you that you're just experiencing X, ask for a worksheet or something that you can go through to see all the symptoms of X to see if that matches up with how you feel. Ask for the same for ADHD. Compare and see which fits you better. That won't automatically mean you have ADHD, but it may help you rule out things that you could have instead.
You can often also find these materials yourself through a quick search. There are also hordes of videos on YT that you can watch that can help you distinguish between uniquely ADHD symptoms and symptoms that could mean you potentially have a dozen other other things. Again, none of this will be a diagnosis in and of itself, but they'll help you decide whether you're sure enough that it's worth paying a few grand (potentially) for a real evaluation
Thats a great analogy. Honestly, sounds like the former. I've always been incredibly organized and on top of everything (anxiety driven though), but lately, the anxiety has taken a backseat to exhaustion.

No.
