It’s encouraging to know others are feeling this way too. No one should feel like things are normal. Thats the most disturbing part.
1. Find community. Stay connected with people who are feeling the same or are being affected.
2. Find your moments to inform. Weave in facts of what the regime is doing. Like, “did you hear about the Save Act? Apparently it makes it harder for anyone to vote who has changed their name. 3. Take action. Taking steps to save our democracy is empowering. Join a local protest. Use 5calls.org to call your reps and tell your story. Change your spending behavior. Use Goods Unite Us app to learn about brands. Call your retirement plan rep or financial advisor to move your investments out of Amazon and Tesla.
Take breaks. Get into nature. Eat well. Sleep. Share again to help each other.
Disconnect your sense of worth from your employer and your productivity in generating value for them. Derive meaning from protecting your peace and your people, using your skills for good in your community.
