There’s a role I really want that I’m waiting for a potential offer from but the date for a decision to be made has been pushed back like 3 times. I get that I interviewed during Christmas and it’s a very small strategy firm so they’re juggling various priorities but I was told I would hear back at the end of this week and I haven’t… I’m feeling really hopeless at the moment - has anyone experienced this before/currently. What can I do to maximise my chances?

I feel under qualified at work but I also don’t know how much of it is in my head or in reality. I head a team and they seem to be happy… but I’m also personally not satisfied what we’re delivering is enough… so I have this weird mixed feeling of the stuff we’re doing not really being that stretching, but at the same time I feel out of my depth. I really don’t know what to do and whether to hold on in the hope I’ll learn something or go back to a lower grade and a more comfortable life.

Thoughts on long-term (5-30 years) fate of the market for consulting in London? I’m considering a move from outside UK but some have argued that London market is “just a fight over the increasingly diminishing pie”, despite the temporary uptick in consulting work now to deal with corona& Brexit.
