They offered me a Clinical Educator position, but the salary is exactly the same as my floor rate with triple the paperwork. They’re selling it as career growth, but I feel like I’m just being asked to take on the responsibility of training 50 people for the prestige of a desk. I want to move up, but I don’t want to move sideways into a burnout trap. Is there any room for actual promotion in this hospital that doesn't involve a pay cut in disguise?

Curious if anyone else is or has been in the same boat. I started as an assistant at an entertainment law firm prior to passing the bar. Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. That was 1.5 years ago and I am still in the limbo of juggling my own workload + doing assistant roles for my supervisors. I have also had no increase in pay, which is a huge deal for me. Part of me want to go into management, another part is saying go get your RN, and the other is saying go into Social Work. I’m all over the place. Any ideas? Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay.
