The gap gets smaller - it doesn’t disappear.
Depends on what you mean as noticeable. All things equal JD/LLMs make more at every non partner level. It’s smallest at SM and on an individual basis could be nothing (or an individual CPA could make more).
If o had to guess, it’s something like 10-15%
I think a lot of CPAs really over state this. I’ve always consistently been better paid compared to my peers. As CPAs advance it starts to even put, but often JD/LLMs have better access to groups that consistently are better paid, e.g. ITS, M&A…
Yeah, it took me 9 years to get to what a big law salary would have been in year 1, so that’s a no for me. I did graduate in 2012, though, so times were still rough.
Not really what OP was asking. This seems like a really long time though. I’m 9 years out now and make like a 3rd year type comp in industry.
