Weird. I’m turning 34 and looking for my 9th car. Link me to your GoFundMe page—I love helping the middle class

Awe… how sweet of you!
Wealth manager with these cars? Top of market confirmed. Dump everything!
Chief
I wouldn’t take one persons income as an indicator of the market… I just don’t mind having $20k/mo in car payments…
But I manage $500M in AUM… and I’m middle of the road versus some of the folks I manage… my top guy manages $1.6B and his everyday is either the 296 GTS or Continental GT Speed…
Why not sell a bunch of the useless cars and get something actually cool
Chief
Several reasons… the 718 is my first Porsche so never getting rid of her… the M2 is a mini rocket ship with 4 wheels… and the 911 is a step up from the 718 and it will be my first 911 so it’s not going anywhere…X5 is an everyday along with the X3 that I drive from time to time… they’re all different in their own ways…
But I hear you on the M3… considered it but realized I didn’t really need a car to port my kids… plus we have the M5…
Ferrari is planned for my 40th…
You have 7 cars and are looking for #8??

It’s a bad habit…
We're about to lose our house thanks to layoffs and a horrific job market, and my homie over here has that same sized nut sitting in his garage(s).
No hate, just calling out the irony of life. I'll be back on top at some point.
As for the question at hand, the ZR1 is a bad bish, but a horrible proposition financially. They will over-produce tham as usual, and you'll be left with massive depreciation. I'd personally wait a few years, and pick one up pre-owned. Though if you have the money to burn, go for it.
At that price point I'd be looking at Vantage or DB11, though this would be my only fun car so my parameters are quite a bit different than yours. If I got a wild hair I'd pick up a used Huracan to be a tad more unique. C8's are everywhere around here.
The X might become a special edition that holds value if they keep the numbers low, but even still there will always be that "it's just a Corvette" mentality that has had values drop "like a rock" since the C4. Look at the original ZR1 as the prime example. Insanely expensive, all the latest tech, fast for the era, and can be had for $20k today.
I bleed Ford blue FWIW, so I am not hating on the American car. The vette is an American institution and is right next to the 2nd gen Viper on my top cars-to-own-someday-list. That said, new corvette's arent a much better value prop than buying a new Maybach. Maybe the X is the exception, if not, drive the snot out of it and get your money's worth.
As an aside, I am sure that you have worked hard, deserve every Keychain hanging on the rack, and I don't begrudge you one bit. Just having a moment of self-pity is all. Thanks for the kind words.
Go classics, realize you don’t seem like a guy who loves to wrench, but have the money for a shop to do it for you. You’ve clearly got a type (euro) and while I think everyone should have a classic FJ40 or something based on your taste maybe a bmw 2002tii or CSL, old 356 or turbo 911?
Could even go resto mod with an M2 2002 or an outlaw 356…
Just find one of those restomoded with a blown 502 or something. Lots of great builds that someone sunk 150k in selling for 60-70k. I appreciate purist cars, but sounds like you’d have fun with something modernized and with some serious mods.
My guy what are you pulling in a year? Crazy lineup

Personal… 😂… HHI - $1.4… should be around $1.8-$2.0 in 2026…
congrats on the C4GTS. i got mine in June (992.2) and love it. also my first Porsche. For domestics, feels like your main choices are Corvette, Mustang (dark horse or GTD), Ford GT variants, or Blackwing CTS depending on price point.
why not wait until you get the 911 and go from there?
If you're gonna spend some serious cash, why not buy a classic Corvette?

Do it for all that are living vicariously through this post..
Hi Dad, it’s me your son. I didn’t get a birthday present this year but I’d take a base 992.2
Chief
Hey there my boy - you have access to drive my cars whenever you’d like… but that’s a bit too expensive birthday present… how about a 2-Series? We’ll make it a M235… deal? 😂
Have you given consideration to the CT5-V Blackwing? I think it would give you a different experience since you already have mid and rear engine coupes.
A big, comfortable, absurdly fast sedan could be a fun way to mix it up.
I drive a CT5-V (non Blackwing) and I really like it. The gas mileage is a real problem though. I get like 16 mpg in mixed driving
Weird flex but ok
It’s all such a personal topic. For me all of your cars are very similar, plus I don’t think you have to spend nearly the money you have to have great experiences.
Amazing collection. I would steer away from the corvette. I’d consider getting closer to a 911 turbo or see if you can get a more depreciated Lamborghini
What is your directional income? Big congrats on your hard work to get to this level! I personally have a 718 cayman and would love to get into a AMG GT63 or 911 GTS
