Thinking of making a switch from tech consulting to an AI transformation firm. ~10% raise on the base with much higher bonus potential. It is the exact type of role I’m looking to switch to. The catch is they are a strict 5 days in office and seem like much worse work life balance. Currently I have great work life balance and only go in person when I want to, I’m just not passionate about the work. How do I weigh this decision? Any insight would be greatly appreciated

A week or so ago, someone shared a stacked bar chart of each MBB/Big 4 firm that highlighted the percentage of consultants that say they work 40, 50, 60 hours etc a week at each firm. My friend has offers at both firms and is concerned about culture with taking McKinsey, in large part due to consistent scandals.
