Waste of time imho. Entry level data science (which is really just data analytics / SQL and Tableau) is currently an extremely saturated and competitive labor market. To be taken seriously as a data scientist, you need to have actual expertise in one or more of statistics, model building, computer science, machine learning / deep learning, econometrics, etc.
A bootcamp is decent for teaching yourself baseline skills and seeing if you actually like that type of work, but really I would think about eventually having the goal of getting an MS in something like stats, data science, computer science, etc. You can self-teach yourself to get to the point of being ready for an MS (use coursera, udemy, edx, DataCamp), and maybe build a portfolio and start applying for data analyst jobs along the way
I would love recommendations! I was also considering a part time MS in Business Analytics

Although I will say, having looked at Springboard just now, it doesn’t look half bad, and I like that they offer a refund. It’s a very tough market right now though, and $10k is a lot (you can get a Georgia Tech masters in CS for the same price)
