It sounds like you’re looking for help on the production side?
There are a decent amount of Facebook and Reddit groups that have fledgling music producers who are usually willing to work on the cheaper side (compared to hitting up a real deal studio + producer) to help you record a track and/or maybe even help with the songwriting and arrangements, if that’s what you’re looking for.
You could also look into doing this stuff yourself. Music production has really evolved a lot since the days of rock bands holing up in some top of the line studio with a gargantuan mixing board.
Digital audio workstations (DAWs) have lowered the barriers when it comes to music production. Someone can make something that sounds amazing all from the comfort of their bedroom. Even GarageBand (which I think comes standard on any Mac?) gets used a decent amount by professional musicians. Logic, Ableton Live, Avid Pro Tools, Reaper, FL Studio are all fairly common DAWs. This is a long road, lots of hours learning as you go and lots of $$$$ in finding equipment, but you’re in the driver’s seat and don’t have to contend with someone you’ve hired taking your song in a direction you don’t totally love.
If you want to hire someone, compile some reference tracks. Find songs that fit the ballpark of what you’re going for. Point towards the elements you like and want to bring over (ie the vocals are drenched in reverb, the lead guitar cuts through the mix in a nice way, etc.) and communicate that.
Also, try to familiarize yourself with the basics of music production. You’ll be able to better articulate what you’re looking for when you’ve got a basic understanding of some of these terms and concepts.
I've tried dabbling with music for a few years in my life as well. It was fun while it lasted. Go ahead and record your melody/tune on your phone or any recording device and write down the complete lyrics. You've done most of the work you need to find people who know the musical and technical side of making the song. You can find help on the internet or just go out searching and asking for help.... unless of course you have friends or acquaintances whose music you like. Also, have a strong idea of what the genre and emotional tone of your song is before you collaborate.
