This may be a silly question but, thinking about applying to a California AUSA position and saw one of the requirements is to be licensed in any jurisdiction but then the office also wants you to be California licensed. Anyone know why that is?

I have been offered a position at a non-US B4 with a 2 year path to partner. I know one of the partners at the local firm and have the support of the regional service line lead, and am bringing a specialized skill set they are trying to open a new business around. The KPIs seem achievable and I’ll be in charm school to help build support within that timeline. Most of me thinks a 2 year path under these circumstances realistic but my inner skeptic is jaded. Anything I might have missed?
