One of my favorite podcasts did an episode on Adderall. Most of the info won’t be new, but there were some interesting snippets in there. I also thought it was a useful educational resource to share with your family and friends.

I still don’t know for certain and I’m mid/late 30s. I don’t feel particularly bothered by it.
If there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s that I’m good at identifying and seizing new opportunities. So I just do that and find myself in new & interesting places all the time. If I tried to lock myself into one box, I would probably struggle with that.
Maybe in a way, I’ve found what I want— to keep exploring new roles and industries— it just looks very different from typical, as it’s not a singular career path. I’m open to pretty much everything, and that’s exactly where I want to be.
I had 3 major career shifts- at around ages 25, 35 and 45. I hope to semi retire at 55.
So yeah. Every 10 years or so, like clockwork so it seems.
My problem is less about “what do I want to do” as it is “of all the things I want to do, which do I do next and how many can I do at the same time?”
Rising Star
And yes I still wonder what to do next
I definitely felt like that through my 20s and halfway through my 30s. I finally found a career I'm happy with and can see myself in for the long haul. Cut yourself some slack - I think it's perfectly normal at your age.
I settled this in my early 20s and haven’t looked back yet. This is a really important question and worth figuring out for sure. However, I also stressed myself out about it too which I wish I didn’t.
I have moved around a lot but settled on 2 principles. Doing thing I find interesting and developing great talent. Although my career has been less direct than many this has kept me inspired and I have achieved more than most on these 2 dimensions even if I could be higher on the corporate ladder or paid more.
Yes! It is always a hard question. I just plan and try different things. I know that if I don't try something that is on my head, I'm going to be thinking in 10 years of why I didn't try it.
Yes - I kind of fell into consulting. I like where I am now because they allow you to transfer to other departments/lines of business with little fuss. It makes me feel less trapped.
