Also, is it fairly common for recruiters at SS to ghost candidates between the interview and offer stage? I sent a note letting them know of a competing offer and asking if they thought a decision would be made this week as I’d like to make the most informed decision possible… the email was very well worded and I have heard nothing back, not even a “we expect to know by x day”

Boomer. I am in between jobs. Laid off in 10/21 after 16+ yrs, with an ABA firm. RIF. Still on excellent terms. Took my time living off generous package and didn’t seriously start applying until 01/22. Made a rookie mistake and accepted first offer.
Turns out job wasn’t as advertised. Mutual parting of ways 3/22. Due diligence is critical.
Now interviewing a LOT. Some temp work, I still have “it”. I relate to all gens. Willing to mentor AND learn from all. Tech savvy, CTE from day one. Leads?

I was just informed after the third round of interviews they’d like at least 5 references, two must be supervisors. My last job was a temporary remote job where I didn’t really interact with my supervisor and the jobs before that were at my family’s business (I do not speak to any of them for serious personal reasons.) Anything before that was grad school and I haven’t kept in contact with any professors from over five years ago. What should I do? 😕

I need some insight. Just had a phone interview for a management job in healthcare. I felt comfortable and felt like the interview went well. I ask questions and the ACNO said that I asked great questions. They said that they had other interviews to do as well but said the next step is to bring me in for an on-site interview (I live 1,000 miles away) and that the recruiter would be reaching out. I'm italian, 26 yo and currently working in France as financial analyst.
Work environment is great, friendly and multicultural but I don't like the job at all.
Personal life is not so nice since I manage to see my family and gf every 30/45 days only. Colleagues have their own lives and at the end we don't hang out much.
My dilemma is:
A) going back to Italy at a lower salary with less growth opps but better personal life or
B) Switching my job here and hold on
