I usually don't feel the need to check in on them on a daily basis. If someone was struggling or continuing to miss deadlines, then I might check on them more.

Luckily, I don't have to. Everyone is really good with reporting in on their own.

We meeting up every week or every two weeks to see what everyone is working on and if they think they might need some help.

I do monitor my employees' status on Teams, but I don't micromanage them. I trust my team members to be productive and to get their work done. But if I see that someone is consistently away from their desk or if they're not responding to messages I'll reach out to them to see if there's anything I can do to help
Thanks for being honest! I also don’t like micromanaging and prefer employees who don’t need my direction and can self lead. I DO keep an eye on Teams statuses also just to make a mental note if someone is away most of the day… I usually don’t bring it up unless they’re falling behind or not getting their work done.
