AZ is growing rapidly. Stock price is at an all time high, market cap is bigger than Pfizer and they have a strong pipeline. However AZ is disorganized, no one really knows what’s happening and we use vendors for everything. If you’re a stronger performer and network well, you can get promoted and move around quickly. I’ve been at AZ for 8 years and the past 2 years have been great with bonuses and I project the will continue to be strong.
I don’t think there’s a better company for WLB in pharma than Novo Nordisk
Honestly my impression of AZ is that they seem quite disorganized... but would love to hear what others think as well
AZ is incredibly disorganized — the most I have ever seen (former consultant with access to many top pharma). They dislike consults, do a yearly reorg, and turnover is high. The only positive is that pay and promotion timelines are very good
I recently interviewed with AZ and they were pretty open in saying that they usually "run lean" re: staffing, and workload can be high.
Novo Nordisk is good for WLB and the Work culture
Very disorganized, lack of transparency. WLB not that good. Work with vendors in India, so lot of late nights and sometimes early mornings too. Good pay/bonus though!
We’re one of AZ’s vendors. They have a lot going on but with the changes in how trials are run so does every other pharma company, so I’m not surprised.
They’re really serious about sustainability if that’s important to you
Novo all the way
