Depends. Are you seeking a toxic environment devoid of leadership and culture? Are you motivated to do your best work under constant fear of being laid off so that the company can hire yet another ECD?
If so then Ogilvy NY may be the place for you
Don’t
It really depends on the team you're on, in my opinion. Most rumors you've heard are true though, to be honest...
What are those out of curiosity? I see so many talented people going there
Toxic
There’s rotating leadership, which causes stress as senior people always have new bosses. They want to bring in their own people and do slow trickle layoffs which also stresses everyone out. There is also such a focus on awards and proactive briefs it’s difficult to get billable work done as resources are taken away. I’m sure some teams are better than others, but a lot are seeing the writing on the wall and want to get out.
It’s gonna be a no for me dawg

A couple months ago I asked about Ogilvy and everyone said it was good place to be. What changed??
I know one of the CDs there and told me they love it there
Strong office doing some of the best work in the industry right now, the most stable and promising of the holding co’s for sure.
Way too much fake work for shows. Ogilvy is known for that.
I like it and we just won a bunch of awards at Cannes, so 🤷♂️
what account do you work on there and in what role?
Always depends on the account.
