Thoughts on Orrick for patent litigation? How’s the mentorship, work, hours, and overall satisfaction?

I left an investment bank to join a private equity firm about a month ago. I am now working on a deal that I previously worked on when I was on the sellside (I literally made the entire CIM). Any tips on how to handle this? Is it fine to tell my current firm everything I know about the company?

I recently joined FIL as Lead BA. Is there any chance of on-site travel? Is there any team where on-site movement is easy?

Coming up on one full year at an ID firm. Feeling overwhelmed with my experience so far. I’ve received minimal training/feedback unless it was on something I messed up. It feels like the expectations don’t align with my level of experience. I have a case load of 45-55 with very little oversight or involvement from partners. How do you get good at thinking on your feet? I find I always need time to think and analyse before being able to answer client queries (even those that are considered simple by others). Why do firms fire people with low but still profitable hours? I am in my first full year on track for pretty low hours (~1500) but the actual realized fees (after writedowns) are still double my yearly salary. Is it because firms know they could replace someone like me with an equivalent attorney who would bill more?
