It entirely depends what you want to do. The government LOVES PMP for running contracts, so if you are in/want to continue to do that kind of work, then sure. For industry, I personally find it pretty worthless as it doesn’t actually show your capabilities, it shows you passed a test.
In general, certifications convey you have an interest and affinity for a subject matter, but the right experience conveys the same thing much louder.

Learning and getting certified never hurts, it can help frame your mindset or cover any gaps. Lots of clients have PMPs and there is a certain comfort they take in knowing you also have one
