Thoughts on taking a part time job in a leadership role (controller / director level)? Would it be hard to go back to full time in the future? Wondering if future employers will discount the part time experience even though it’s still the same title

Started my new job today! I’m joining a late stage startup coming from a more mature company, and am noticing a lotttt of documentation debt. I’m coming in as Staff/Lead, and want to eventually move into management in 1-4 years. If I spend some of my first two week block updating and creating documentation for future devs, will that be seen as working hard or wasting time? It feels like a good use of my time to me….
