Hi everyone! I’m currently an interim benefits manager with 2 years of benefits and LOA management. I have three years of healthcare and public health experience. I’m currently seeking a senior HR Generalist, Senior Benefits Coordinator or Specialist role in NYC.

As of now, I’m on FMLA. As a department lead, I was led to believe that I would return to my role after my leave. My direct manager recently announced in a group meeting before I left that my supervisor role would be opened the day I return to the office, she noted that she is moving in a different direction. I have notified HR. However, no response. Is this legal?

Interview process question - I’ve met with the recruiter and corporate HR and was told the next steps would be meeting with the CRO (reporting manager) and then CEO. Im now told I’ll have a panel presentation on “a topic of my choice” prior to meeting with the CRO. They will invite anyone from the company who wants to join! This is not a sales, marketing or public-facing role... It’s an operations role. Is this a new interview process? It’s been a while since I’ve been “out there”

I absorbed my managers responsibilities and about half of another role five months ago. I asked for a promotion and a raise. Received a raise but it still does not bring me to market value for the entry-level role that I began with. I was told they cannot promote me due to “supply chain issues“ and directives to remain highly profitable not just moderately profitable. Meanwhile I have seen three men promote in the past few weeks as they are now working multiple roles including leader ship.
