Thoughts on Willkie as a whole and its Corporate and Financial Services group specifically? Also, any insight on the newer Dallas office?

Good not great. Worked there for some time but not Dallas. My sense is most of the $ in corporate comes from asset managers (funds). Pub company practice is smaller than some other firms.

Hi there. Myself and a photographer are joining forces to build a creative “agency”. We’re having some trouble figuring out how to give pricing and packages in a way that helps clients understand what they’re getting on design/photography side and how we came to our estimate. We don’t want to give much leeway for them to pick and choose what tasks or functions we can “do without” if there is a need to negotiate but also want to remain transparent about the breakdown of cost. Advice appreciated!

Curious as to how many deals at once is typical for a first year associate to take on (M&A, mostly private equity clients). Deal size is lower middle market and I’ve worked on deals ranging from $1-$110M. 2 deals at once is plenty for me, but it seems like my peers are able to take on more than that at once and still do fine. Maybe I’m just a slow learner/out of my league at the big law firm I’m at.

Cross posted: Has anyone ever heard of this type of real estate private equity fund structure:

-Multiple investments that investors can determine whether or not they want to invest in

To me this seems extremely cumbersome and would require multiple classes of (cont’d)
