I make 100 even, live across the street from the twitter building and I'm paying a mortgage on another property in Ohio. Honestly, trade a few nights out for higher rent right downtown or live a little further outside the side and trade rent for activities. It's easily doable.
OP- you need to calm down with your demands homi "it doesn't matter, is 106 enough?" Nobody on his forum is you, and only you will know if it is enough. Be a consultant and do your research based on facts and not an anonymous forum. Jesus, kids these days 😆
$106k in San Fran is decent if you're okay with living on lunch meat and sucking dick for toilet paper.
Not bad for two years out of school.
PWC- not a fan of lunch meat...
Always negotiate.
No
@SA1 - AMEN! Millennials these days 🙄
Seriously? I thought 106k was good
That's more than I make and I have 6 years exp but I also live in a very low cost state
Bruh, a lot of it depends on your life style. Does your millennial life style include blowing money on strippers every weekend? Do you want to live in a swanky place right by the water? How much money do you want to save on a monthly basis? Also, 106K might be good depending on what KIND of job it is.
Google CNN Money Cost of Living Calculator. You're welcome.
Guarantee you these people saying "no" don't even live in CA. Yes OP, 106k is enough assuming you are young and single. Do these people realize that PwC only pays 2nd year associates like 80k in SF? Sheesh. It's a huge pay bump from what you're currently making.
It's fine. I make less and I'm able to afford it. More importantly if you're moving to SF you need to stop calling it 'San Fran' immediately
I made 76k last year as an EA and I was able to put money away and live comfortably. Just live within your means. It's doable - trust me.
What is a good wage to live comfortably in SF?
There is a coat of living calculator online for this. Out your city and stats and destination. I did this for NY-Dallas and it was a 40% difference in my current lifestyle.
What kind of offer is it OP? Consulting firm? PE?
It doesnt matter. Is 106k enough or not?
There are many factors to comfortable and you can't just expect to make a ridiculous salary because cost of living is so high here in SF. Business insider just did an article on what people say about living on 120k in SF http://read.bi/268BUUQ
