Would anyone working at ZS Associates be willing to discuss day-to-day work and type of projects, preferably at the consultant level? Trying to make the switch to strategy consulting and want to see if my background would fit what they are looking for. I would really appreciate any time anyone has, even if it’s just for an email or two.

ZS may have what you’re looking for - moved from a boutique and my WLB improved a ton, work 45-50 hours/week (US). Huge variety of work possible, in commercial and outside of it, though it’s kind of on you to explore/make connections/diversify your staffing
Coach
Putnam - decent WLB and you’d probably come in as a C or SC - which is slightly above your pay now
IQVIA is solid in the EU/UK and decent WLB
Don't think so, would be a small rise. 4.5yrs+ PhD should translate to M which is 85 + bonus.
ClearView has a strong reputation of pretty challenging WLB (just search for the firm name in this bowl…) and lower comp than LEK/MBB, so not sure you’ll find what you want there. Also, their EU office does more due diligences per head than the U.S. offices and typically DDs are not favorable WLB projects either. If you’re fine with all this then LEK will probably pay you more and provide you a similar (if not better) brand status.
ZS on the other hand has similar comp to CV, but most people here say they have pretty good WLB and lots of lateral/internal mobility.

Late to the party here but…Guidehouse is actually going from strength to strength and the Leadership are really good. In London in particular we gained two excellent Partners 1 year ago who are bringing in interesting strategic work and we have a friendly team - in the London team, we also work with colleagues from the US, Germany and India. There is plenty of work available since we have projects sold in the US as well as London. The reasons for the bad rep were coming from some teething pains when Guidehouse acquired Navigant, but it is well integrated now!
