It’s on the low layoffs disguised as ‘performance based terminations’
Not really. These are all performance based which is the norm in consulting. People got comfortable during the prior 3 years ago because pwc made a decision not to eliminate jobs during covid (unlike other companies - people's memories are short) and then business was booming and we were retaining low performers just to have bodies to throw at all of the work.
We can't afford to keep floating low performers, so they're being let go. That's not a layoff. It sucks to lose your job so people are calling it a layoff.
