I live by this formula. You should, too!

dang i must be a quiet one lmao

Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Only do this if you test printing it on a black and white printer. Just because it looks good in color doesn’t mean it’s readable in black and white. With all the yellow in the second one I think it might not be readable if printed.

Mine is pink. And scented.
Also, pretty sure boomers would be more likely to quote Violet, Doralee and Judy than Ms. Woods.

Dont do it. You don’t want to stand out for the wrong reasons
Secured six fig jobs using a white page and times new roman and no fancy formatting by summarizing my accomplishments and including compelling impact statements. Don’t focus on the format/layout focus more on setting up your experiences.
My ex was a graphic designer and I had a finance director tell me he liked me and the contents of my resume but not the light addition of color. So needless to say I showed up to 2nd round of interviews with a plain layout black and white
Depends what sort of position you’re going for...if graphic design or marketing or something, maybe. I don’t think I’d do this if I were applying for PE or similar though.
Keep in mind generally resumes are printed out b/w so choose your colors carefully and with enough contrast if you do choose to go this route.
Will not give you extra points in the industry we’re in. Maybe if you’re in media, design or a creative leaning industry. Even tech co’s don’t care. It’s all about your results that matter.
Hiring manager here. Just be yourself. No need to be anybody else.
Damn - a resounding no! Ok I'll keep it B&W and focus on contents. Thanks everyone!!
It may sound odd, but if you have a plain white background and you change the text color to 255 230 0, you will most def get noticed
Another sample.
For the US no, for Europe go for it.
What industry are you applying to?
I’m sure it was after Michelle burnt it.
I got my first internship with an acrostic resume (tech firm)
The person who hired me liked that I put a food graphic I designed on my resume (fully colored - pink!!!). That said, part of my job is design work. Find out who the decision-makers are, and act accordingly.
No. I’ve reviewed a lot of CVs and the ones in color or with decorative graphics seem unprofessional... If your CV is in front of the correct person, the contents in black and white is what’s most important.
I will add that I use a few icons in my resume, mostly up on my header where I put my email and phone number. I think I’ve gotten positive remarks about that and allows you to add flair while keeping things black and white.

Or your lack of flair because I’m counting and I only see 15 pieces. Let me ask you a question. What do you think of a person that only does the bare minimum?
Depends on the company. When I hire and get resumes from HR they pull copies from their recruiting system. Your uploaded document sometimes turns creative things into Wingdings and it can’t be read or formatted correctly . All the resumes sent to me for review look exactly the same because the system made them that way.

If I got a resume formatted like that I’d throw it in the trash
Those layouts confuse the machine parsing out your information if you are applying online
