I haven't. That being said, try asking half salary for an extended time (ex: 4 months at half salary instead of 2 at full salary) to extend health insurance? Or speak with an employment for their 2 cents.

Yes. They will usually agree to pay your COBRA for another month or two, but can’t keep you on their health plan unless you’re technically an employee.
So it’s the same type and quality of insurance but will ultimately end after 18 months per COBRA rules.
Ask for this in addition to your severance. It only costs them about $1000 per month and your severance is probably a lot more than that.
Yeah, don’t ever ask for this in exchange for severance. You can ask for an additional stipend to help pay for healthcare.
It’s tricky - but you are entitled to Cobra which while expense does make it a bit easier to manage

Yep they kicked me out the system that day but I told them I had upcoming procedures, so they cut my severance down, in exchange for my fire date to be 2 week later. So I could get meds and not die or whatever.
