Venting post but appreciate advice appreciated: Growing my book of business at a firm where I’m trying to build a practice area they didn’t have. Had a bad day today - getting killed from all sides. Constantly getting calls and emails from clients, something was incorrectly filed and don’t yet have associates who know the area well enough to take work on fully independently. I am assured to make EP this yr but may have to check out of the profession in the next couple years for my backup plan.

I chose this job based on billables vs salary and what I'm being told I'm expected to do now is 20-30% (at least) > than what was initially agreed upon.
