Do Austin and San Antonio they are relatively close or just do Austin
Skip Houston - definitely do Austin. Salt Lick and Sixth street in Austin are solid
Then pick 1 because otherwise you will burn 30%-50% traveling between destinations - it’s 4 hours drive from Dallas to Houston, 3 hours from Dallas to Austin and the traffic into Austin can suck big time, it’s 5 hours from Dallas to San Antonio and you have to go thru Austin
Do Austin and possibly SA. In Austin hit up the Driskill for a drink at the bar, then head out to sixth street. Take a six pack of Shiner out to Driftwood for an afternoon and hangout and eat at the Salt Lick. Head to Zilker Park one night and see the trail of lights. If you want to do some Christmas shopping head to the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar. Also eat Rudy’s bbq and grab a bacon and maple donut from Gordoughs. If you go to SA do one day/night and go to the Alamo and then stay on the river walk. You are welcome
Skip Dallas and Houston. They can be cool for a weekend but you’ll kill the whole trip just driving. FYI but Texas is really big
I live in Houston, spent 10 years in Austin, and have spent extensive time in Dallas and SA. Skip all the travel and spend 4 days in Austin
Dallas is decent, Ft worth is fun, Austin is best.
Rest of the state is pretty meh.
Deep Ellum in Dallas to go out, pecan lounge has the best BBQ

As someone who lives in Houston, fuck you guys too
Go to dirty sixth in austin
So you have 1 day in each city? So are you asking for the #1 thing to do in each city?
P1 lol. I don’t have to spend the same time in each city. If Austin has more things to do than Houston, I’ll spend more time in Austin or maybe even skip Houston
Thanks! Much appreciated
