Can anyone at Amex share my resume in their team to directly start the rounds of interview? I have tried for referrals through linkedIn and did not recieve any call from the HR.

Consecutive losing quarters? That’s the broader IBM. The hot consulting areas of IBM GBS are growing and thriving.
Layoffs? Yes, currently happening in our consulting division (GBS) in the US. However, most of it is performance-based or a skills issue. We need resources with the skills of the future to meet the demands of our clients. We also did hire too many fresh graduates (not something I’m proud of, but it’s being fixed and it’s sad and unfortunate how it’s being handled).
Not a leading professional services firm? Our digital strategy practice is highly respected, same with our iX arm. Also, analysts rate us in the top quadrant for AI, analytics, etc. We don’t compete with MBB for traditional strategy but we are a dominant and well respected player in our space.
Frustrating, honestly to read such ignorant comments. If you’re a top performer, you will thrive at IBM.
IBM 5 you are so wrong i am a sl-sector lead leading a practice and unfortunately i have lots of band 9s confused as you are with the webinars and the real org rollout - case in point bpms are still aligned to the pre reorg folks and it is very confusing to the rest of IBM of who is doing what and how - cbds is part of cpt and you have cpr, cps and the cbds aligned but with a ton of overlaps and the ras were a big part simplifying it and reducing it - and btw all of these groups are now soft matched to our sw catalog - you are describing salesconnect codes not org practice alignment and practice title and yes it is called ibm services since Jan but you are a band 9 and have no idea that we as partners now have cash incentives for selling blue stack starting this q for the very first time in GBS! - if you think IBM is doing agnostic true client based consulting in the future it is not - it is preparing to sell IBM sw aligned offerings with blue dollar services and trending to lower cost and specialized skills for services - i hope you realize this soon for your career sake but AP and partner title will be changing soon as well - IBM consulting in an agnostic client environment is gone - you are myopic and drinking the cool aid and just a sheep trying to make AP but when you get there if anytime you will realize you work for a different company - good luck with your arrogance

You sure you want to go to IBM? I don't know 1 person there who is thriving or making money

Please no funky, cool designs. Just a nice black and white Garamond font resume will do. List skills at the bottom after experiences. Most are found by CTRL+Search anyways in the resume vortex
Look at the boards and layoffs
If you are not conversant in open source and a strong seller, the landscape is...challenging

It’s IBM dude. Google “90s resume format” and change to a fixed-width font. Submit in triplicate
Also I find it ironic that the IBM folks fighting on this thread are exactly the essence of IBMs problems in the first place.

I did not enjoy my time there. You have little to no control over your career focus there. If you do decide to interview or take the job, just make sure you are doing the type of work you want otherwise you will be doing the work no one else wants to do.
Do not come here - it sucks - IBM is a software company and it’s services are shrinking to commoditized platforms
IBM 5 is so full of shit - I am a partner and this place is shrinking - do not come here - all the good people are leaving and those of us with time are just looking for our next gig - IBM GBS is a temp agency model - no office no stewardship and not what it was - stay away
Lol anybody who believes IBM6 is a moron, and FYI that’s not the correct name of the practice. Under the Cognitive Business Decision Support service line, the practice is called “Cognitive & Analytics”, formally it was two separate practices: Watson & AI and Advanced Analytics. And if you follow anything Mark Foster has done with rebranding, IBM Services and IBM Watson are two pillars, the former being the merger of GBS and GTS.
Anyway, those who are reading can make up their own mind. Likely you’re a bitter underperformer who was recently cut.
