Was submitted to a LMM IB for a position and they want me to do a 3 hour in person modeling test for a first round interview. Does that seem normal or a little extreme for a first round? Not sure how I can disappear for 3+ hours to take a modeling test in their office on a weekday.

Why does everyone say the work in FDD is so much better than audit? I’ve been in the group for a few months now, and it seems to be just as bad if not worse.

So do higher ups (managers/directors/etc) in FFD talk to each other about the progress of seniors and associates in a similar manner to how the staff are ranked during audit roundtables??

Has anyone left big 4 or other PA firms tax transaction service groups for industry (or know of anyone)? What was the role and salary bump, how are annual bonuses/raises in industry, what is a typical work week (hours) like? I don’t think I can take this always on just to stay afloat life much longer. For context I am considered a high performer, am near the top of the salary band at my level and have a great supporting network at Deloitte. It’s just not worth it to have zero personal life.
