Is Grace Hopper a good convention to attend?
So sorry 😣 to hear this, it is a terrible moment for you. I have been in the same case 4 years ago. I gave everything I had for the startup I was working for:
- 1st and last in the office
- travelling on very short notice
- working past 1am..
I was laid off with several others, they put us all in a meeting room and tell the names of whoever was laid off ( terrible experience, and psychologically shocking too).
Right now it just happened and you need to take a bit of time even if it’s just a day to recover, rest, start your process of healing.
It is a terrible experience I wish that for no one! At time I thought it was the worst experience of my life but I learn so much from that and you will too!

This is a super hot job market so I’m confident you will find an good job! However Protective Life insurance is currently hiring for a product manger. Check it out on linked in and on the company website. The VP you would report to is a really amazing leader!
Thank you, I really appreciate it. Hoping to have something secured ASAP since most companies stop hiring around the holidays. I’ll definitely check out Protective Life Insurance
I know you're having such a hard time with this. Judging by the way you put so much effort on your previous job, there's no doubt you'd find a new job that would value you 150% more. I'm rooting for you!
Thank you so much
So sorry to hear this sis! Layoffs are always tough but it's not a reflection of you, it's just the economy we're in. I hope you can take this time to reflect on all your wins and see how you've been killing it so far!
Thank you sis. The state of the economy has definitely added to my anxiety, but I’m trying to stay positive and remain optimistic
I’m so sorry. What kind of product experience do you? What kind of product organization do you prefer?
I have 5 years of SaaS experience (2 years in the startup space), but I’m open to all product types. Personally interested in gaining more direct experience with B2C or marketplace products. As for product organizations, I’d prefer something more established and stable — my most recent startup was very early stage so I was a team of 1. Being the only product person at my company was incredibly challenging at times. Looking for mentorship opportunities with my next role
