We are expecting delivery in Jan end and we are trying to think of 3 options.

Option 1 - HDHP until delivery and change to PPO delivery

Option 2 - PPO until delivery and change to HDHP post delivery

Option 3 - HDHP through year

Per my analysis below, Option 3 is most cost effective. Wanted to get advice from others , if I am missing something?

I’ve done this analysis multiple times and also have had 3 babies. HDHP every time.

like

Calculate the tax savings on the deductible for the HDHP to compare apples to apples. Put that money into a HSA and you’re not paying income tax on any out of pocket funds.

But yes Option 3 is it, it’s just not accurately reflected in your spreadsheet due to tax benefit.

HDHP. Wife had c section and barely had to pay out of pocket

Similar situation and considering all options.
D1 - a noon qn , wouldn’t we have to pay at-least the deductible/ out of pocket max to walk payment free?

I lived in tampa in my early 20s and am now in my late 30s and looking to move back. One of the reason I left is because I felt I had too much energy for the city for a single young professional, but now husband is from there and we have a kid but we are both social people. Do you guys find it easy to meet interesting people and has the city gotten any more fun?

Hey people

I have recently received an offer letter from PwC and have signed and accepted the offer (via Workday portal).
Now when I check the tasks against the job on workday, I can see no tasks pending and under completed tasks: a green tick against 'review and sign offer letter (step complete)' (and I can see the offer)
I am told that I would receive onboarding emails from HR, but I haven't yet.
My DoJ is in the fourth week of July. When do we generally expect these communications?

Additional Posts in We're Pregnant!

I’m having a really hard time with my changing body. 13 weeks, I don’t have too many bad side effects of pregnancy or anything so I consider myself lucky (no nausea ever etc) but I’m depressed at work, my skin is completely broken out and showing new broken face capillaries, and I’m not showing a bump yet so I just feel fat and big. I don’t know where this “glow” is but I look in the mirror and literally am grappling with not recognizing myself :( it’s been impossible to find any clothes too.

We are planning to try conceiving in a month. Have been taking prenatal since 20 days. I got ovulation test kit recently. We were not trying to conceive. And I was drinking alcohol like twice a week.
Now I missed my period and pregnant. I am panicking a lot, not sure if I want a baby right now. Definitely i cant deal with pregnancy constantly knowing how much u drinking could have affected the fetus and if i could ever endure the consequences it would bring upon the baby
Help me understand if my baby will be fine or not.
