We protect systems, data, and people—but who protects us? Long hours, short budgets, endless fire drills while execs chase compliance over real security. Whether you’re red, blue, GRC, or building policy, the gap isn’t just technical—it’s structural. We mitigate threats, but the exploit is the model itself: extract, exhaust, repeat. Security should empower, not drain. Maybe the breach isn’t out there—it’s at the top. Time to harden more than endpoints.

“You are lucky that I’m talking to you right now” - is this type of response too cocky ?

Hey guys, any idea on where to go for audio system diagnosis for Audi in NJ/NY area?

I just left my pre-seed startup that was running out of cash (we made $100,000 in revenue this year, and sunk $1m in costs). I was making $40,000 as a developer (plus 20k stock options at $1/share per year) and they refused to pay me any more money. I have 17,000 vested stock options, total number of shares at the time of my contract was 4million. I’m a bit confused about share dilution and if it’s worth it for me to buy some of my stock options… thanks in adv!

Is Operations paid the least at your respective firms? I was hired to a Client Service Delivery role with a heavy focus on project management. I regularly interface with leadership internally and at the client. But, I am aligned to the “Operations” capability and make the least of my teammates who perform seemingly identical work but are aligned to “Strategy and Consulting.” I worry I’m on a career path to being paid the least wherever I go, because Operations is in my title and background.

I know this career takes a lot out of folks, but what are some things you’re grateful for?

I’ve been having a hard time finding energy to interview but I’m REALLY grateful that recruiters from great companies reach out on LinkedIn just based on my skills/current company. Takes a big weight off.
