In all seriousness, did you really not see him dropping out? The mental decline has been glaring the last few months. It’s nothing against him personally, he’s just not the same person he was for 20+ years in the senate
Oh, I was hoping he would drop out but I was bringing to worry he and his wife were too damn stubborn. I thought he was going to drop out weeks ago after the debate but he kept doubling down, so I was beginning to worry he was going to stick out until he lost in November. And the fact that he decided to drop out today was a little bit of a surprise for me.
The DNC will continue with convention to confirm the Democratic Presidential nominee. The question is whether it will be an open convention. Harris has done a lot of great work in the past 3.5 years and the administration AND DNC will need to make a serious pivot to start backing Harris and preparing Harris.
Funny because one of the reasons Biden was scary was that he might drop dead and give power to Harris. She’s always been a clear authoritarian based on her history as the DA. I hate Trump but I’m scared of Harris.
It’s like a movie studio. “We don’t have any data on whether this new idea will work but this other thing worked last time so let’s do it again and pour hundreds of millions into the marketing and shove it down everyone’s throats”. But then the debate happened and we saw Sonic’s face and realized it was a horrible mistake and rerouted.
Trump debates seem to be career ending for the other side, Jeb Bush, Hilary Clinton, Joe Biden to name a few, all career politicians. He wrote the book on negotiating. I don’t even think Harris would make it as his intern. I wouldn’t miss that debate for anything. As much as people hate him as a person the other world leaders will at least respect him and he’ll be negotiating on our behalf. Time to pay up China. But by all means I hope the Democrats throw up a worthy contender. We do deserve better leadership and representation than we’re currently getting.
I am not at all surprised b yit and I was so excited to see it to be honest with you. I really hope that Kamala is the candidate and I pray that she wins. I don't know if she will beat trump but I want it to happen so bad.

Some of us have known for more than a year Biden wasn’t the candidate. The media only recently started reporting on Biden’s performance or lack of. Because Harris was a DEI pick they’ve really got no options. She absolutely cannot win with her awkward cackling laugh and lack of doing anything of note in 4 years. Even if Obama writes every speech and tells her exactly how to deliver it. So who’s the real nominee is the only question. If nothing changes it will be the largest landslide victory in history.
It’s 3% now. I also notice little things. A camping trip with all Millennial Democrats. They talk about being dog or cat parents, negative views on raising kids, they talk about a woman’s body but ignore that it’s a shared body. It’s a common set of themes. They come off as self centered. Contrast that to two weeks later 4th of July party at a neighbors house, mostly Republican people. They literally sang the national anthem before fireworks, everyone was welcome and I have a Latina wife, everyone had kids there, family oriented, largest fireworks display I’ve ever seen. I was like a fish out of water with the Republican group, so foreign to me but it felt good to see some national pride. Democrats serve better food 😂 better drinks too. Republicans are the hamburger, hot dog, Coors crowd. You all should honestly make an effort to contrast the two groups from boots on the ground experience, not social media. Judge for yourself from a real experience.
Just last week he was saying he’s running! He was going on and on about how competent he was. BTW where is he? Someone sent out a press release on X that was not on presentemtial letterhead without any explanation for why he is dropping out. Where is our president? What is going on?
