I have been in this industry a long time, from my early days at Art College I have been surrounded by left wingers who always seem to be angry, against conservative ideals and finding outrage and problems where none is in existence. This is now purely entertainment, grabbing the popcorn and watching the crazy left self implode.
Advertising is business, end of and Creative Directors who see it as a platform to push their woke ideologies onto the public are getting a taste of the other side at last. Call me a Nazi, a Trump supporter whatever. I am in the UK and seeing first hand where Socialism takes you. Waiting for Nigel Farage to get in and bring back normal life and kick out the third world from the UK and restart business. Without business there is no money for you green eyed, pierced looney tune Art Directors.

I'm left center but this controversy is everything thats wrong with modern American culture. The constant oppression olympics and virtue signaling is beyond sickening and it's honestly sad and pathetic. If people spent half the energy they did on popular outrage doing something productive to better their own lives... There is a term called locus of control. Learn it. Honestly you being alive in America in 2025 is beyond a privilege in itself. Focus on yourself and your family, not an ad with an overhyped celebrity about mall jeans.

not saying every republican is bad/every dem is good but generally a good chunk of the country feels emboldened by the trump administration to be vile and “anti-woke”. i don’t think this is going to tank the brand. i think they knew what they were doing and they will reap benefits. i’ll be interested to see what it does for her career as the film industry seems more “left”. nothing will probably happen though.

Campaign was massively successful in every metric other than strategists’ feelings from my POV, looking objectively at stock price, conversation, and awareness.

There’s a difference between being a registered republican and being a trump supporter. She’s never publicly endorsed or even said a word about him. I love to hate a trump supporter but you’re not being smart about this my friend.
It doesn’t take a genius to understand who someone voted for when they registered months before the election. Plenty of people have had endorsements pulled for leaning heavily in one direction.
