What’s everyone doing in this heat??
After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

My thoughts are fairly similar, I think it's very important to take people seriously. I had a boss once who did that and it really makes a difference. Pay attention to people's ideas and concerns. And expect them to do what they're supposed to do. If you expect good work, you're more likely to get it than if you treat people like they're incapable.

This is HUGE. Paying attention to what your staff is saying means so much to me. I cannot stand when leaders ignore the input from the staff simply because of their title.
To not let my personal drama overwhelm my coworkers or the employees or vendors reporting to me. I’m not talking about the usual ups and downs. I’m talking about a constant stream of Big, Dramatic (Seemingly) Life-Altering Personal Issues That Never Stop. In response, years later, rightly or wrongly, I keep my personal life and my work life very separate.

I love this and attempt to do the same. My coworkers and direct staff have NO IDEA what’s going on in my personal life and I want to keep it separate to the fullest.
For me, I learned that people especially created people need space to create. It’s my job helping them on task and make sure we’re heading deadlines, but I don’t need to stand over their shoulder and micromanage everything they do or second-guess that brief thought that is not the way to lead a team

I agree with this. I give people the space to do their job how they need to do it as long as they keep their goals in mind. If I have to tell you how to do the work, then I probably need to do it myself.
