What are the big firms that have dedicated sustainability teams?

Each member of the Big4 has a prominent sustainability team, with sub-disciplines for climate risk, GHG accounting, decarbonization, energy transition, environmental health & safety (EHS), infrastructure & capital projects, ESG strategy & transformation. To my knowledge, Accenture, Alvarez & Marsal, and ERM also have.

This is great to know! Thanks

BCG is also growing here - they recently started a dedicated sustainability team.

EY CCaSS is great! We indeed have a climate risk team.

In my experience I’ve only found PwC and parts of ERM to be good at actual sustainability advisory. I’m speaking from the clients POV.

Dell has had sustainability initiatives and goals / commitments for more than 25years. Look up esg reports and you can see many companies’ commitments and progress calrified

If we're talking consultancies, pretty much all of the notable ones have some sort of sustainability practice at this point. MBB, Big 4, most of the T2 management consultancies, and of course all of the environmental and built environment ones (ERM, Jacobs, wsp, etc.)

I came from China, you know why I came here? Because I hate being told they do things for my protection. Stocks there halt for the rest of the trading day if it moves more than 10%, because everything else must be too much risk for us little people to handle.

1) I know that most of you will say that buying an expensive engagement ring is a waste and bad, etc. so let’s start with the assumption that I don’t care and it’s happening
2) does it make sense to finance an engagement ring purchase or buy in cash? If financing, how much would you have to put down for a ~$30k ring? (If you’re upset by this number just replace ring with car or education or wedding or whatever you feel good about lol)

People on H1b. How have you managed your client travels pre pandemic? Does Deloitte do an amendment every time you start an engagement and travel to a different client location?

I left an omnicom agency for a Publicis one. My new benefits cost me 250 a paycheck (medical, dental, vision) for my spouse and kids. At omnicom it was 630 per check. That’s fuckin robbery right there.

Any consulting companies with offices in the Bay Area feel they have a good in-person work culture? Being able to connect with colleagues matters a lot to me and I’m hoping to hear which companies have a strong and connected community out by SF! :)

Seeking advice: I am a young sales consultant and sales engineer working for a tech startup company. I have 6 years of sales experience. And I have been helping run my family business for the past 10 years. I was intially interviewed for a senior account executive position at a $70k offer. Instead they told me I needed more training and hired me as a Junior account executive at a $50k salary + commission. Today is my 6th month mark and I have done very well. And no talks of a promotion / raise..
