They treat you like you should feel lucky to work on an alcohol brand, but they don’t realise that they stopped being fun or cool years ago

I’m working on alcohol brands - I would say compliance issues are the biggest drawback.
Not much. I’ve worked on 5 different brands. When it’s a global campaign, there are too many clients in the kitchen weighing in on their needs. Lots of versions.

There’s so much red tape. You have to follow rules for pouring/measuring, can’t actually consume on camera, can’t show it improving mood, so many rules
Then have a shot of Tequila! 🤣
It might go against some Creatives’ personal morals… similar to advertising cigarettes.
Too many people in the client’s ear.
We had a client fire our agency because we didn’t go out drinking with them enough.
I thought I could drink. I could not drink like they do and function the next day or week.
Fake it. Whisper to the bartender or waitress and tell them to bring a water with a twist. Tell your client it’s Vodka.
Name the brand/parent company and I’ll tell you
You should try to drink alcohol as well
The reason why a customer might have this idea is because they are a potential competitor of this company.
