Hi Fishes, I've accepted offer from Accenture from their portal.. But now got new offer from EY and wants to join at EY. So how can I tell Accenture Accenture India that I'm not going to join them. Rather than not showing up on the date of joining? Can you please guide me? How do I let them know? My talent coach is not reachable

I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?

Ask and you shall find out if you receive. For that difference level, I'd get the offer first, and then negotiate. I wouldn't come in with too many numbers because that could be offputting. Each company is different.
Also, your ammo sucks. "It would be within the range of normal to pay me even less than what you've offered!" is not a killer argument. I should know, I'm a lawyer.
(that is to say, you can must make it up, but they should be savvy enough to know if you're right about that range)
Goldman Sachs is offering a range of 120-290k base for associate level roles. Would you use that as negotation?
It depends on whether the company said that the pay range is set in stone. If they did, then you cannot negotiate for more than the top end of the range. If the pay range is not set in stone, you can absolutely negotiate for a higher salary. Once you receive the job offer, show your gratitude, and then emphasize that you want to be in a partnership with the employer that benefits both of you. Express why your relationship with the company would benefit from your receiving the higher salary, and show how you will meet and exceed the company’s expectations. Ask if it’s possible to increase your salary.
