What career options are out there for a 3rd year analyst at a no name M&A boutique? I'm not really getting lateral interviews, PE won't take me and my grades are too low for business school. I'm turning 25 this year and I am afraid I am running out of options. Also from a non target and I've exhausted the alumni base.

Hi Everyone - I was hoping someone could throw some light on the kind of work trust and safety does. I see a lot of open roles - managers, senior strategists etc. I have a top 20 MBA and about 8 years of big 4 experience in consulting - would this be the right kind of role to get into? Or is it more engineering?

Is it a red flag if, after almost two years in a full quota carrying and selling role I want to take a lower role at another company in order to break into a field (tech sales) I want to work in? It’s better pay - closer to home and at a company with a better reputation?

I have been applying for internships the last few months. Got few first round interviews but never concluded further in the application stage. Lots of rejections because I am not from a target university.

Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? A company along those lines.

Received an offer from Deloitte consulting SC - comp just slightly higher than now. Did well with a FAANG and was told by HM that he is trying to get funding to hire me but it will take up to 8 weeks or sooner. Should I wait for FAANG or just go for D as SC? Currently manager at PWC - TC 180.

So can I accept the offer from first company and then if second one also sends an offer then let the first company know I would like to reject? Also i am on H1B visa. M/SM and above, why do you label a meeting as “touch point” or ask if you can have a “quick chat” when it’s something serious? Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. But at my new job, my boss asked for a “quick chat” to literally ask me to change the title of a meeting and then chat about christmas. Now that I’m in management, I want to understand it better.

Can someone please for the love of god help me figure out how I can pay less income taxes? I only make 88k and I put the 12k standard deduction but I’m still getting taxed 27% of my paychecks! My sign on bonus (20 even) a few months ago was taxed nearly 45%! Excuse my ignorance, but am I doing something wrong? Will increasing deductions help or should I increase the withholdings? Is this normal?! Thanks for any help/advice, it’s greatly appreciated.
