How much you spend for the Centurion?

$60,000

AMEX is not “unlimited”. It’s just not preset and can fluctuate based on various factors. I guarantee you your card will get declined if you try to buy a house with it when your average spend is 5K a month.

No such thing as unlimited PTO either, it’s always been “flexible” PTO

40k or something. .

70K and 40K for the two I use regularly

Discover It (have had it for 2.5 ish years) - 6.5k.
Amex gold (have had for just over 1 year) - “unlimited”

Don’t own one

D3 you really spend 500k-1m a year on that card? Pls explain!

My dad got offered one with about an average of $250k annual spend. Declined it and kept the platinum because benefits are trash compared to the fees.

When sending a cold email to a recruiter, should you include a reason why you’re interested in the agency? Or keep it short and sweet with your book, resume and what you’re looking for?

Top passive aggressive comments you’ve seen or received via e-mail? I’ll go first.

“Let me know if you want me to clarify any points”

Translation: I feel I’ve been clear in my email but as a formality, I’ll offer to hold your hand and explain in unnecessary detail 😂

Anyone watching Indian Matchmaking? Aparna and her mother have to be the worst, right? She thinks she's a godsend and quite frankly she looks like a potato, is ignorant, doesn't sound nearly as intelligent as she professes to be, and is even more negative than I am! That's gotta say something.

Will vs Trust:

Which do you use (if any estate planning) and why? Recently talked with a layer on getting a will and they are trying to steer me to a trust.

Demographics for ref: 30, live in GA, unmarried, no kids, no real estate (yet, planning to buy after market cools). I don’t envision I’ll amass a ton of physical assets over my life so really just need to say where my various $ accts go (401k, pension, IRA, etc)

Trust cost was $2,900. Didn’t give price for will.

I just left t2 strategy for a boutique firm, and I already regret it. I thought I liked consulting but wanted a different culture, but I realize that I don’t like strategy consulting- the timelines are too stressful and I don’t want to travel anymore.
I’ve only been at this company a month- is it way too early to start applying elsewhere? I feel like I made a mistake and I don’t want to miss out on the “great reshuffling” with all these great opportunities.
