What did y'all spend this wellbeing subsidy on? I'm thinking of a standing desk

Working on a regular desk and my laptop has been killing my back and neck for last few years. Finally spent a couple hundred dollars on a standing desk, wireless keyboard, and back/neck heating pad to alleviate the pain. Very hopeful working will be much better now.

Thinking about going independent and operating out of my home office. Does anyone have any thoughts to share about that? I’m wondering about clients coming to my home and FINRA issues.

1099 or w-2 ? I have been given the option though the company prefers w-2. It’s a day rate booking couple of months or more (no end date). I already have 1099 from similar company this year and am leaning towards 1099, but I don’t want to be difficult. I do take home office deduction and they are not supplying any equipment. Suggestions?

Let’s talk office set ups. I am looking at a Uplift standing desk as my big splurge because I have back issues, and the room I work in has horrible lighting so I’m considering some sort of selfie light ring type thing that I can clip to my monitor. My joining date is coming closer, however education background checks are still processing ( international degrees) . My onboarding coordinator told me that I can still join even if education check is still in progress, provided there wont be any flags. I don’t see any issue with my degrees and have done same with my past companies.
Anyone experienced this ? Any problem joining while check is processing ?

Hello. Just curious on what's the salary ceiling for a manager position at Deloitte? Received a verbal offer and waiting on written offer. I was told by a recruiter that M at Deloitte doesn't make more than 180. Just curious if that's actually true and if anyone had experience negotiating higher salary than 180.

I’m doing second round interviews with Deloitte but also interviewing with three other companies. If I get an offer from Deloitte, how long can I put off making a decision in order to finish the interview process with the other companies? Is this generally frowned upon?

I am considering coming into an Analyst role at A&C GPS. I have 1+ years relevant consulting experience and was promoted to Senior Analyst at Accenture. Will this be considered for promotion to consultant at Deloitte a year after start?
If I need to wait two years to make consultant at D I would just stay at Accenture and apply to a consultant role once I qualify.
