Exercise. Do physical activities. Walk. Sunshine. DO NOT LET YOUR FITNESS AND HEALTH SLIDE. That's a self fulfilling downward spiral that's hard to get out of. If you smoke weed, taper off and moderate. Same with alcohol, late night shenanigans and snacking. Get out and feel connected with the world, not your mind playing tricks.
This was me last year. I started working out pretty regularly to get a endorphin boost. I also put up holiday stuff early for the extra positivity.

What VP1 said ☝🏻🏆 treat it as a job and have time off. When the rejections pile up, give yourself a break. Take a week off. Filter job alerts to a different folder so they don't flood your inbox.
Ultimately you can't get around what's meant to be.
Took me more than 2 years. So hang in there. 💪🏻
Yes yes yes to all this. Exercise, yoga, spinning…whatever it is that you love immerse yourself in it. Remind yourself to take advantage of the time cause when you start working again, you’ll have little to no time to do it. Did you ever said”if I had a day off I would…”? We’ll remember that and DO IT. Come to term things might slow down a bit now because of the holidays and because scopes will be finalized in January- and the demand will start again. Catch up on all that was put in the back burner- clean closets and donate clothes you haven’t use to charity. Walk around and rediscover your city. Go to a happy hour at 4pm. Go to galleries, go to museums the day they are free/pay what you want. Be kind to yourself. Remind yourself often of that often. Saying all this because been there, done that. Sending you good vibes.
Your description of your condition really hits home with me… but I’m late in my career. Only advice is keep yourself busy. I mean SUPER busy… with stuff that keeps your mind so occupied it can’t focus on the negative narrative that is it running through it. And therapy, but you probably already figured that out.
The holiday do make things worse. I used to love the holidays until corporate America made me come to hate them. These dark seasons can last a while, but you’ll get through it. Hang in there.
I take the down time as time to do self care. I focus on things for me. I make it a job to find a job but I also go for long walks, try new local adventures. Catch up on books and movies… you’ll miss the down time when hit go back to being busy.
