My father passed away last week. I had wills written up for him, he has a small c corp, and we don’t live in a community property state. Mom’s still with us, fortunately.
Besides informing social security, filing a life insurance claim, getting a death certificate, flagging his credit card, and starting the probate process, is there anything else I need to do immediately (in a financial/regulatory sense)?
I’ve been following the guide here: https://www.reddit.com/r/personalfinance/wiki/death_of_loved_one/ but others guidance is always appreciated.

Hi fishes, what are the chances of Pwc AC bangalore rescinding an offer given the current market condition? The role in my offer letter seems to be pretty generic and during interviews, it didn't look like, they were interviewing for a particular project or team. I have doubts specifically because of HR's behaviour during the whole recruitment process where they never responded to my emails or calls. Is this normal practice?

Same. I grew up in Vancouver, moved to Alberta after high school for a few years, then came back. Prices are insane, but unfortunately everything’s just going up everywhere else in Canada too. I’m leaving my job (yes I know that’s not the best plan right now) in hopes to find a better paying one. I don’t even know if I’ll be in Van in the next few years. So all in all, I’m not really managing LOL, but I’m working towards a better situation for myself so I can stay in Vancouver for a few more years. But who knows?
Hope all is well with you OP.
Out of curiosity what types of high paying jobs are you looking for? What qualifies as high paying? And what are your qualifications? YOE?
My thoughts are it’s relatively “easy” to find a job that pays $100K with decent WLB if you have basic quals. $200K comes with a lot less WLB, $300K+ you basically cannot disconnect and are incentivized not to.
My opinion is in order to live a comfortable lifestyle in Vancouver proper which includes owning a home (at todays prices), having a vehicle, decent savings, etc. you need to be making $250+ of household income. You can definitely survive and many do with lot less.
While I agree it’s expensive, it’s also a luxury to live here now so minimum wage jobs don’t really cut it in CoV itself.
It’s similar to SFO, NYC, even Toronto these days.
It's really expensive living in Vancouver. Properties, rents, and even all necessities. I was a SM in Vancouver and relocated to Montreal as a Product Manager. I saved a lot because of the move.

If I'm being honest, I'm not saving much...or like, not prioritizing it. I don't want to buy a home anytime soon and neither am I sure if I want to stay in Vancouver long-term, so I'm just trying to have fun right now hah
I’m not really saving. I make a decent wage ~75k, single, 20s, with no dependents but with student loans, rent, bills etc, I’ve had to choose between enjoying my life and saving for an overpriced house and I choose happiness. I get to travel, eat out and have awesome experiences. I also don’t really vibe with people from Vancouver so I don’t see myself wanting to put down permanent roots here. So, I’m thriving but not saving lol
