The days off after a crazy end to the year.

like

At this point I'm just looking forward to taking it easy. I'm off until next year and you bet I like the sound of that. Just had some awesome leftovers and I'm looking forward to zoning out while watching a football game tonight. My immediate goals are small but satisfying.

I like the days off at the end of the year and spending time with family.

It's probably a sign that I'm getting old, but I really appreciate the time off to rest. It's nice having the energy to spend real quality time with my family.

Time not working and time with my kids

The biggest thing I look forward to around the holidays is seeing my little sister. We are literally two peas in a pod but she lives back in Kansas and I am in Georgia. I look forward to any time I get to fly home to spend some time with her and my brothers.

DO YOU JUST ASSUME THE COST OF YOUR MARKETING ACTIVITIES? I am looking to allocate their cost in the marketing budget in a way that won't rely on several layers of assumptions. How do you reliably estimate the cost of different marketing activities (email, social, web, etc) when you don't have specific people or tools allocated to each function and costs are spread across many channels? Ads seems the easiest, but even then there's time and overheads... I've been looking for a reliable model.

I've done so well in this new role within the company that they are hiring another person to assist with what I do. I've voiced to my boss that I'd like to manage this department and they indicated that this is the thought for the future. Now they are asking me to train this person while I have my plate full. Is it wrong for me to expect either a promotion or to be paid to train this person?

I've noticed that my coworkers tend to work more on their own than with others, even when they're all in the office. Is this normal?
